Before we begin your laser treatment, your dermal therapist must perform a test patch to the area of your skin you wish to be treated. This will assist your dermal therapist in determining the best parameters (energy settings) for your treatment. The test patch will be performed by your dermal therapist about up to 5 days leading up to your laser treatment. The appointment consists of a few test shots in the treatment area with slightly different machine settings to see how your skin reacts. This is done to ensure that you get the best results possible on the day of treatment and more importantly, that you are safe. In most cases, only one test patch appointment is necessary; however, some clients may require additional test patching if their treated area does not respond as desired. Once we've determined the best settings for your skin type, we'll schedule your first laser treatment and from there, it's all gravy!
